De Tuinen van Appeltern is a beautiful location for relaxing and enjoying nature. We offer a variety of arrangements for groups of friends, business meetings or family outings. A few suggestions are given below, but there are plenty of other options too.

An experienced guide takes you to the most beautiful and most important parts of our park

On this tour, the guide helps you learn what gives that real garden feeling.

Toon’s Decorating Demonstration1.5 hours (from 20 persons)

Decoration specialist Toon makes work pieces using natural materials.

Decoration workshop1.5 hours (from 20 persons)

You will be making a seasonal decoration out of natural materials that can be used outside or inside.

Birdhouse workshop2 hours (from 10 persons)

Make and decorate your own birdhouse, made from natural materials.

Luxury sandwiches, biscuits and French bonbons, various muffins, mini-donuts, cake and petit fours with a nice cup of tea.

Picnic in the park(from 2 persons)

Picnic basket with filled bread rolls, muesli rolls, a bottle of orange juice, fresh fruit, a bottle of wine and Dutch gingerbread.

Around Appeltern

We can also provide combination arrangements. A visit to De Tuinen van Appeltern combined with a boat trip along the Maas, perhaps. Or a visit to a vineyard, steam pumping station or a Solex (motorised bicycle) ride through the Land van Maas en Waal.

The tour takes you to the most beautiful locations along the Maas and Waal rivers. You will be given a cycle route map.

Catering facilities

You will come across various terraces during your walk through the park. Our park has two self-service restaurants where you can have a tasty lunch. We can provide breakfast arrangements, lunch buffets and dinner buffets (e.g. hot or cold buffets, luxury French buffets, barbecue buffets).
